Based in the ANSI Laser Safety Standards, this Digital Badge will verify accomplishment of laser safety procedures.

80% passing grade on written test required to earn Badge.

Instructor Sarah Boisvert served on the Board of the Laser Institute of America, secretariat of the ANSI Laser Safety Standards for 15 years and was elected its president in 1995.  She owned Potomac Photonics, Inc., an excimer laser manufacturing company that also offered laser contract services.  She operates two Santa Fe Fab Labs in the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms international network.
